Meet your host…

Elizabeth Fitzpatrick

Ed and I have been welcoming guests to our family farmhouse B&B for over 20 years. We love meeting people from various parts of the world. We raised our 2 children here and they loved being involved with the animals. I enjoy baking in my traditional Aga range, using eggs from my own hens and herbs from my garden. My hobbies include oil painting and knowledge of local history. Ed runs the dairy farm, he enjoys chatting with the guests as they watch the milking in progress.

We had a one night stopover at Castleview Farm. The room was clean and had all the amenities needed. Liz was helpful and accommodating. She served a lovely breakfast after we had a good night’s sleep.

Castleview Farm B&B was one of our favorite places we stayed at during our 10 days in Ireland! Upon entering the B&B Elizabeth made us feel right at home! We had brought food to enjoy a picnic for dinner and her husband Ed cleaned off their beautiful granite table in the back for us to use! We then walked down to the Church ruins located next door and read about the local history. Elizabeth's gardening skills are no joke and her landscaping was absolutely gorgeous! She was so nice and found the names of plants and shrubs for me to research for my own yard back home in NY. From our warm & friendly welcome, to our lovely bedroom with large en suite bathroom, topped with an amazing home cooked breakfast, our stay here was simply fabulous! We would highly recommend staying at Castleview Farm B&B to anyone traveling in this area of Ireland!!

The B&B was a beautiful home. The grounds and garden was very lovely and the room was a very large beautiful room. Liz gave us a couple of recommendations for dinner and that was not a disappointment because it was a fantastic dinner. After dinner, we walked down to the cemetery and old church that was next-door that was a historical site. The next morning, Liz was very helpful with information about the B&B and the grounds. She gave us permission to walk around and look at the garden that was on the property. I would highly recommend staying here when traveling through Ireland.

Great B&B with lovely breakfast. Very helpful couple and very comfortable accommodation. We would certainly use again if we were travelling that way. The dawn chorus is fantastic if you get up early enough to listen to it Would have been 10 stars if it had been fairtrade coffee :0)

Thank you so much for your lovely review. My one cup coffee sticks for the tea facilities in the bedrooms are not fairtrade I admit but my coffee for breakfast is . I certainly will look into sourcing fairtrade coffee sticks aswell for bedrooms. Thank you again and hopefully we will have the opportunity to offer you accommodation sometime in the future if you are in our area.

We visited four B&Bs during our trip to Ireland, but this experience was - by far- the best! The property was beautiful. The hosts were so personable. We felt right at home. If we were ever back in the area, we would absolutely stay again!
