Mavis and Eamon were wonderful hosts, and we definitely enjoyed our one-night stay on the way from Waterford to Kilkenny! We enjoyed swapping stories about families as well. It's a very quiet farm setting near a small town, and we got to see a short cattle drive in the morning right from the driveway. The breakfast was excellent (best "bacon" I had on the whole trip), and the rooms are pretty much up to date. Our rooms were up a flight of stairs - keep that in mind if stairs are an issue.
Host's Reply: Thanks Eileen and Pete for your very nice review, we were delighted to know that you enjoyed your stay with Eamon and myself. We would be very happy to welcome you back again. Regards Mavis

What a wonderful stay! Mavis was at a family birthday party when I arrived, but I was greeted by her husband and sweet little dog. The setting was beautiful and I enjoyed getting to know about their herd, their bulls and how hard they work on this farm. I was out taking photos when the cows were allowed to walk from the barn across the street into the pasture. It was a first for me and quite educational. My room was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. There's an Ogham stone just down the road from their house. While I was writing in my journal, her husband came in and we had such a lovely chat. I was traveling alone and felt like a friend and not a guest. Mavis' kitchen is a dream kitchen! I highly recommend this place. Friendly and warm folks. Wonderful!

First of all - terrific hosts!!
We loved chatting with Mavis and my daughter felt so at home and welcomed she wanted to leave drawings for Mavis.
Rooms were spacious and we had everything we needed. Is was great learning of farm life and the local priory. Breakfast was perfect too.
I hope to return to Ireland again and would stay again at Coolmore.
Cheers
Ryan, Dorrie , Nyla and Grandpa Ken!
Nyla would like to give warm hugs from Canada to little Mia!

Beautiful house and wonderful host. The atmosphere was perfect. Their family farm sits across the road while the pasture of baby cows were outside our bedroom window. Mavis made us feel at home and prepared us a delicious breakfast. Our favorite part was visiting with her in her beautiful kitchen. She shared with us great places to visit while on our trip.
