We really enjoyed staying here. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Kathleen prepared an amazing breakfast Breakfast and we loved the charm and history of the old house. Our room was a bit cold but we had plenty of blankets and beds were comfortable. Great long range view of the Irish countryside from the house.

The house was beautiful, warm and comfortable. Kathleen and her daughter were very gracious. Kathleen gave us a great recommendation for dinner and it was fantastic. The weather was rainy for both days of our stay so Our granddaughter wasn't able to go horseback riding. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

We were very disappointed. When we arrived, approx 4:30 pm, no one answered the door after repeated ringing and knocking. We arrived during the storm Hannah that hit Ireland. We sat in the car for a few minutes during very high winds and cold. We circled the house looking for other doors. We found one open after knocking again numerous times, we opened and yelled inside, but no one answered. We stepped inside and called out loudly numerous times. Finally, someone came out of a room where the family was having dinner. Looked annoyed and showed us to our room. She gave us a candle and said the power might go out due to the storm, then she returned to her dinner. Knowing that we, her guests could not obviously leave in the middle of the storm to find dinner for ourselves, did not even offer to give/sell us anything for dinner. We had a few peanuts that we had, and a cup of tea for dinner. They said they had wifi... however it did not reach our rooms, so we had to go out to a very cold enclosed porch in order to get wifi and let our families back home know that we were safe and out of the storm. They never checked on us all evening, and they turned off the heat in the night. Since they did not check on us during the evening, they obviously did not know what time we needed to leave, which was early 7 am. Therefore, we fed ourselves cereal we found in the dining room. It was not until we were walking out the door that someone came out. I have been to Ireland before and love the people and found them always warm and welcoming, however, these people were anything but welcoming. Thank goodness we only booked 1 night there. Would never return there or recommend them to anyone.
