A genuine Irish welcome awaits guests of Ave Maria Farmhouse, County Sligo. A delightful, family-run dairy farm, guests are treated to fresh tea/coffee and delicious home baking on arrival. With a sumptuous breakfast menu, including the farm’s own produced meats, guests will be ready to take on the exceptional Sligo scenery. Beautiful beaches, lively pubs and great restaurants are just 1km from the house, the pretty village of Templeboy is also just 5km away.

Farmstay Experience

Ave Maria Farmhouse is a working dairy farm. Your host Mr Mulligan will show guests around the farm where they can see cows being milked (about 700 cows!) - all year around.  Also at certain times of the year if guests are lucky enough they will get the chance to see the cows calving.

Great stay for us. Very clean room, nice bathroom, etc. Breakfast was awesome. The host family members were very attentive and recommended the local restaurant right on the beach and very close which was excellent.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Mrs Muligan was patient and kind in recommending Muddy Burns pub for our dinner meal and patient in awaiting our 8:30 pm arrival after our great discussion with the owner, Mark Carr. The breakfast her daughter fixed us was delicious and her willing comments most enjoyable.

Very pleasant stay, ideal place for hiking along the seashore and looking for mégalithes. The host was very amenable, breakfast really tasty.
