Our stay was brief but Mary was an amazing host. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The house is beautiful and the area is equally as beautiful. Mary takes great pride in hosting and is proper in every way the word is defined. Breakfast was delicious starting our day of driving off right. Thank you Mary for a pleasant experience!

We stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful property in August. Mary’s son Ed greeted us with tea while Mary was at a competition for one of the horses. The room was plenty big and the bed was comfortable. Mary was so much fun and so passionate about her house, horses, and her life! We especially loved the butter curls and marmalades. She recommended we hit the local pub Nellie’s for a pint and we enjoyed meeting the locals there. The house staff were so great as well! Thank you!

Such a beautiful historic home set in the countryside. We stayed 2 nights here and Mary was the ultimate hostess. We enjoyed our fireside chats with Mary and learning about the house and surrounding areas. There's an old castle less than 2 miles away which we explored, as well as other historic sites and buildings in Tipperary. The only negative, which we hesitate to report because everything else was so perfect, is the odor in the 1st floor room by the front door. There appeared to be a dampness issue which a odorizer could not completely hide. The other 1st floor room was fine, as was the rest of the living spaces. Mary provided us a tour of the home including the other bedrooms, all of which were stunning. All in all, we highly recommend the Bansha House and would give it 10 stars if not for the one issue.

We had a lovely stay. The location was exceptional for us for our day trips the home and acreage with the horses was lovely. The breakfasts was amazing the two ladies in the kitchen making and serving were delightful and we even got a jar of marmalade to bring home for our “Blood Sausage” we serve @ Christmas. Thank you for your lovely hospitality

A lovely setting surrounded by beautiful countryside and horse pastures that provided a convenient hopping off point for side trips an hour or two away. While the hostess, Mary, had to leave for a trip shortly after we arrived, her son Edmond couldn't have been a better host. He helped us with directions and his suggestion to take a train to Cork really saved the day on that trip. We had an enjoyable evening talking over current events and trading stories one evening. The breakfasts were excellent and the hospitality by all staff was exceptional. The rooms were on the small side but that's to be expected in an early 18th century house. Not much in the town itself but very close to Tipperary town and to Cashel. We would definitely stay there again. The horse operation they have there was fascinating!
