The property is lovely, and tucked out of the way, while still being convenient to both Antrim and Crumlin. In spite of being so close to Belfast airport, I never heard the planes until I started listening for them. Lough Neagh is directly across the road from Bay Cottage and was visible from our window.
Breakfast was delicious every morning, particularly the locally sourced bacon and homemade jams.
But the best part of Bay Cottage is Elizabeth. Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, she can help you plan your day (from Celtic crosses to Game of Thrones tourism), or converse about nineteenth century literature, the ancient landscape, or the historical and archaeological significance of the region.
I couldn't invent a complaint if I wanted to.

Very quiet area with a lovely pub just minutes away on foot. Elizabeth and her husband were extremely welcoming and it was a casual and comfortable atmosphere. Thank you for having us!

How nice to stay in a home with history! Elizabeth’s suggestions for a garden stroll and dinner were just what we wanted for a lovely evening. Breakfast was generous and prepared perfectly.

Elizabeth was very warm, welcoming, and accommodating during our stay. The food was delicious, and of all our B&B stays on our trip, our bedroom was by far the biggest and most comfortable. Not to mention, there was also the most beautiful view Lough Neah from our bedroom perch. It was beautiful and serene.

Our favorite B&B from the trip! The view of the lake from the home is beautiful! The room was more than a room it was an apartment complete with galley kitchen, dining area, living room and private bath. Breakfast was exceptional whether you made a hot or cold selection. We particularly enjoyed the wheaten bread, which Elizabeth explained is unique to each family in Ireland! Elizabeth was a truly lovely hostess from start to finish. She made us feel so welcomed and provided information about our excursion to Belfast that made the trip even more special. Thanks to Elizabeth’s suggestion to stop by St.George’s Market, we were able to meet a woman who hand makes wool sweaters, which had been difficult to find throughout our trip! We also loved all the animals at the home particularly gypsy! Would highly recommend and love to visit again! Thank you, Elizabeth!
