Easy access to town, however some traffic noise due to house on busy street. Hosts were gracious, and helpful with sites to see, and very knowledgeable about history of the area. B&B needs some TLC.

Quaint old stately home across the Peace Bridge from Derry. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast with the hosts, sharing stories of Ireland, local lore and more. Easy walk into town.

What a disappointment. I don't know how this place passes any B&B certification. We found a place to park on a side street in this run-down neighbourhood. Six of the 8 row houses are vacant and several are derelict. The B&B rooms are old, tiny and dirty, although the bedding was clean. Single beds are all that are available, and are wedged into the tiny second floor rooms. My wife was ill with a flu and needed to sleep, or else we would not have stayed there. The room was smelly and stuffy, but when I opened the window to circulate the air, the noxious fumes from the furnace chimney entered the room. The chimney was just below the window! The owners state they have operated the B&B for 35 years. I'm guessing that was the last renovation and thorough cleaning. Unfinished plywood steps and floors on the bathroom. Miniature TV that was not working. I just wish I could share my photos here. The sad part is that we find ourselves talking more often about our stay at this dump, than we do about a fantastic two week tour of beautiful Ireland!

The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The house is certainly Victorian and situated as described. Although it is a non-smoking house, one of the hosts is a smoker so you will occasionally smell tabacco smoke.
When I paid, it was insisted that I pay in cash not credit card - so had to make a quick trip to the bank machine in order to be able to do so. Also did not get a receipt for the cash.
Good location for easy access to the centre of Derry and the river as well as walking/biking paths.
Breakfast, well..... the hosts were willing to modify to accomodate North American tastes, but I'm not a fan of instant coffee and fried or reheated eggs, sausage and bacon along with fried bread..... Not quite my usual.
Good intentions but be aware before you arrive..
