The Manor House

Derry-Londonderry, Derry-Londonderry, BT47 3AA

6.5 Miles from Derry-Londonderry

Meet your host…

Alastair Davidson

Jean and I been welcoming guests into our home since 1993. The manor is a listed, late Georgian property and has been the home of the Davidson family since 1850. It retains many of the original features and family portraits. I have an interest in antiques and restoration. Both Jean and I enjoy gardening and guests can relax and enjoy the attractive grounds that surround our home. A warm welcome awaits you at The Manor House.

We arrived a bit late, but Alistair and Jean were very accommodating by offering tea and cookies upon our arrival, showing us to our rooms and offering directions and recommendations for Derry. The B&B was a short 10-15 minute drive to the Derry city center. The rooms were large and this was our favorite breakfast during our two week stay in Ireland. My daughter loved the soda bread served and hoped at every B&B we stayed afterwards we would have soda bread. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed the stories about the grounds and family history.

Very pretty converted home with lots of history! Alistair and Jean were happy to share stories and were very accommodating. Room was comfy and coffee/tea in the room was a treat to have upon waking. Face (wash) cloths would be a plus, as would a bar of soap.
