Littlewood

My wife and I stayed at the Littlewood for one night. The place is fantastic, with greats hosts. Everything was just magical.

What a delightful place. It is quiet, peaceful and we really enjoyed the surroundings. The host and hostess were very helpful and provided a delicious breakfast

LittleWood is a charming B&B nestled in the Irish countryside and in an excellent location for the traveler. Lucy and Louis are wonderful hosts. The property is exactly what we were looking for on our trip. They are a bit hard to find, even with a Satnav - but a small amount of perseverance took us to the left turn at the 'cul-de-sac' sign and down the narrow lane to the B&B. Their entrance lane is better than Dark Hedges! The main road (N52) is very easy to navigate, and they are a perfect distance to Tullamore and other sights in the area. The breakfasts were delicious and the dining room charming; it was a nice start to each day and the nights in front of the fireplace were a perfect ending. LIttleWood has a bit of everything including the adorable and very friendly dog, Pablo and the grounds with beautiful flowers (even in October), fruit trees, bee hotels and quiet spaces. They have chickens and goats in the fields too! Highly recommend booking with Lucy and Louis and enjoying this peaceful accommodation.

We stayed our last night, September 14th, but should have stayed much longer! Louis and Lucy were absolutely wonderful and so welcoming. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, lots of hot water, charming views, and spacious. The surroundings were lovely with beautiful flowers and some animals. We had an impromtu autoharp concert when we returned from dinner (at a lovely place they recommended, Tap Brewery) from Louis after discussing George Orthy. Breakfast the next morning was perfect. Louis is an excellent chef! We will definitely try to book more than 1 night next trip!
