Our stay was wonderful! Joan was helpful with recommendations for dinner and sights to see in town. Her home was clean and had all of the items necessary for a great stay near Galway.

Joan is really a great host! She gave us the room with the best view. Every day we had a great breakfast with homemade (!!!) bread which was delicious.
The Freeport House is a good spot for visiting Galway, Aran Islands, Connemara National Park and Cliffs of Moher. I would always stay here and can recommend it 100%!
Also try the local Pub - the food is delicous.

I stayed at the Freeport House B&B with my family in September, 2018. We had a wonderful time. We had a large room with three beds, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The location is great - easy access to explore Galway. We drove up to Clifden and Kylemore Abbey. Joan was a very gracious host. Breakfast was cooked to order and offered some variety. It was nice to have fresh fruit, because we didn't have this at some places we stayed in Ireland. There were a few places to eat that were within walking distance, as well as a grocery store. I would stay here again if I was in the Galway area.

Joan is a welcoming hostess, We stayed four nights and our granddaughter, 6, called it "home" after one night. It is in a great location for day trips to the islands and Connemara. Wi-Fi is fine downstairs but sketchy in the rooms.
