Carrig House B&B was the first ever B&B I stayed in. Didn't know what to expect. I had a very warm personal welcome to a very cosy, and clean house, a huge room and Nicola as a host. Nicola made us feel at home, gave us excellent tips on what to do in the vicinity and saw to it, that we had everything we needed. Thank you.

Carrig House is a beautiful place to stay. We spent there fore two nights. Our room was very nice and breakfast was perfect. Nicola gave us several tips for the area. She was very helpfull. This B&B is definitely worth it!

Cullenstown and Blackhall Beach: We have two beaches within walking distance of Carrig House. Cullenstown Beach is the closest and offers stunning coastal walks, fishing and swimming. There is ball alley on the beach where you can play handball, tennis, squash and football! When the tide is out, it is possible to walk from Cullenstown Beach to Blackhall Beach and soak up the wonderful views along this route.
Euro Velo Cycling Route: We are the ideal location for cycling enthusiasts as we are on part of the Euro Velo cycling route. The route is free of heavy traffic and runs parallel with the historic Norman Trail, so there are lots of wonderful heritage sites and places of interest to view along the way.
Hook Lighthouse and Heritage Centre: Hook Lighthouse and Heritage Centre is a definite must-see on your visit to Wexford. At 800 years old, it is the oldest operational lighthouse in the world and stands proudly at the tip of Hook Head Peninsula. Climb the 115 steps and be rewarded with outstanding views across the ocean. Make sure to bring your binoculars as you might be lucky enough to spot the whales and dolphins that frequent the region. The visitor centre, which has a café, provides information on guided tours, boat trips and diving in the area.
Must-see Attractions: We are the ideal base for exploring Wexford and its many interesting attractions including the Tintern Abbey, Loftus Hall, Dunrody Famine Ship, which is a 19th century replica ship at New Ross, the 13th Century Ferns Castle, the Irish National Heritage Park and the Irish Agricultural Museum to name a few. The scenic village of Kilmore Quay and Wexford town are within a 20-minute drive from our home.
