Chris & Claire Gotto

Chris and Claire inherited the house from his parents and are gradually making it their own. Chris ran the family farm next door until his son was ready to take over, while Claire has a background in history and is an avid gardener. You'll usually find her outdoors and him in the kitchen. They love having guests and will happily ply you with tea and coffee while they talk you through all County Cork has to offer.

Set in the lush rolling countryside this Georgian country house was built in 1791 and has distinct authentic charm. Willowhill House Bed & Breakfast is only 20 minutes from Cork Airport and 30 minutes from Kinsale along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Whether it’s golfing, sailing, kayaking, whale or bird watching, horse riding, photography, sightseeing, surfing, diving, archaeological tours, whiskey tasting or genealogy, Willowhill House Bed & Breakfast is an ideal base.

There is a selection of gastro pubs, which serve food within a 15 minute drive and Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland, is a 30 minute drive away.

The walled garden beckons one to stroll around and explore its treasures, perennial beds, roses, fruit trees, vegetables, many birds and its old dove cote.

The sitting room and conservatory are available to plan the next adventure in the countryside or on the dramatic coastline. It is a place to bring books and unwind.

Staying at Willow House was one of the highlights of our trip. Claire and Chris made our short stay so wonderful. The house and gardens are a magical place, and Claire was an ear when I needed it the most. You truly made the rest of our trip a rewarding experience. When I bring my entire family back, your fabulous property will be at the top of my list!

My family had a lovely stay at the Willowhill house. Claire and Chris are wonderful hosts and were so sweet to our infant daughter. We especially loved tea time on the porch. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

Dear Claire and Chris, I echo the same gratitude to you and Chris as my sister Janet from Canada. It was a most memorable stay at your beautiful home. I will surely remembered the sound of the willow trees blowing through the house with their circulating embrace. Those threads were everywhere..). Moreover, thank you both for letting us use your table to organize our work in peace and quiet. The pots of tea and cakes awaiting us when we arrived home on most days will be forever ingrained in my heart. Your home truly was a home away from home. Thank you both again for your gracious hospitality and friendship. Please take good care of yourselves and maybe our paths will cross again in the future. ☘️☘️☘️❤️❤️❤️

Claire and Chris were amazing and very helpful hosts! Loved the house and it’s various rooms. Breakfast was fantastic each morning and the grounds of the estate are very peaceful and pretty. A wonderful stay and would recommend to any and all! Thank you Claire and Chris for outstanding service and wonderful memories! Tom
