The Harbour Masters House

We spent 2 nights at The Harbour Masters House, the breakfast was a great spread. Darren the wonderful host gave us lots of places to visit and eat around the area and even offered to come rescue us if we got lost. Would recommend to anyone in Australia if they driving around Ireland to stop over here. Thanks Darren.

very good place to stay, to visit Birr Castle, the shores of the Shannon, cycle routes and a lot of walking opportuneties. the host adviced us where to go for our meal and we had a lovely experience with big steaks. (to big!) a stay to repeat.

Our stay at the Harbour Masters House was most enjoyable especially after a long drive. Our suite was clean and comfortable. Our host gave us great recommendations for supper as well as the nearby attractions. A hearty breakfast was provided to start our travels the next day.

The house and surroundings were very good and interesting. Thei room with ensuite was very well equipped with bed and chairs etc. But it's also why we have given only 9out of 10 stars! - as a dane the bed with one large quilt was a bit to small and we would prefer separate quilts. Furthermore we had ensuite - which was very nice but a little to close to the bed. The landlord and catering was exceptionally good. Great hospitality and well cooked breakfast. Summing it all up we think this is a place to visit. We came by car, but there were lso good roads for cycling and walking along the channels. We may come back...

Wonderful night at the Harbour Masters House. The Boat Rally was being held so very lively town during our stay.
