Our visit to PortStewart was made even better by our host, Lorraine! She was fabulous!! Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome. She had stocked our in-room fridge with milk for tea/coffee which was very thoughtful. She was great to talk to; sharing insight into the area's attractions, culture and traditions. She provided recommendations for a wonderful restaurant within walking distance and suggested that we opt for the train for our planned trip to Derry. She was absolutely right about the amazing scenery that we would not have seen by car. Our room had a beautiful view from the large window. It was, a bit small, however, for three people. The beds could have been a little more comfortable. The mattresses were very, very soft. Additionally, the shower stall was exceptionally small. Despite these two minor inconveniences, I would definitely stay at Station 36 again. Lorraine's warm, friendly personality and her excellent breakfasts made us feel right at home. Thanks, Lorraine!!
