Derwent Lodge

Absolutely amazing accommodation with a charming pair of hosts (the two daughters of the owners) created a perfect place to stay and enjoy the area. The breakfast was terrific and were offered excellent suggestions about local sights and restaurants. Definitely a top rated stay!

We stayed for two nights at Derwent Lodge as our first stop in Ireland. Eugene and Margaret were amazing hosts and so accommodating helping us coordinate taxis and giving suggestions on places to visit. The room was very nice with a super comfortable bed and all modern bathroom fixtures. It also had a HUGE walk-in closet though we didn’t take advantage of it. The location was ideal with a lovely pub directly across the street and easy transport to other areas of Dublin. The Wi-Fi connection was also some of the best we’ve had on the whole trip (3 weeks). The breakfast was delicious and even included fun banter with Eugene! I can’t say enough what great hosts Eugene and Margaret are and what a gem of a property this is. Will definitely stay here again on any return trips!

Vierailin vaimoni ja tyttäremme kanssa. Pidimme paikasta erittäin paljon. Huone oli mukava ja erittäin siisti. Samoin koko kiinteistö. Isäntäpariskunta oli erittäin ystävällinen ja avulias. Aamiainen oli todella hyvä ja ruokavaliorajoitteet huomioitiin hyvin. Hyvät bussiyhteydet keskustaan. Mukava pubi heti tien toisella puolella.

My sister and I stayed here on a vacation. We were very impressed with the house/accommodations! Very beautiful home, lovely breakfast and most of all….gracious hosts including the dog Lulu!!! We would highly recommend due to cleanliness, good breakfast, easy to walk to restaurants/bars/public transportation. Thanks to Eugene, Margaret and Lulu!
