Eugene and his wife Margaret have recently moved into their new home having hosted B&B guests from around the world since 1999 in their previous B&B (Aghadoe House). Eugene is an avid tennis player and an enthusiastic skier. They both look forward to welcoming you to their Fabulous new Home.

Newly constructed family home in 2021 to "A Rated" standard in a highly sought after residential suburb of Dublin 2.5 miles (3km) to Dublin City Centre. 4 Star Tourism Ireland Approved for B&B guests.  All rooms have en-suite facilities and ample free guest parking on site.  
 

How to get here

Directions from Dublin Airport by car
When exiting the Airport follow signs for City Centre (N1).  Just at the tunnel take the extreme left lane (do not enter the tunnel). Drive for approximately 1km and turn left onto Collins Avenue (R103).  Keep straight for 2.9km and then turn right on to Howth Road (R105).  Derwent Lodge is 800 meters from here on the right side of the road.
 
 Directions from Dublin City Centre
Take Bus Number H1, H2, H3 or 6 from Lower Abbey Street Stop Number 7591 (across the road from the Peacock / Abbey Theatre) and get off at stop number 527 which is called "Ashbrook / St. Laurence Road" we are approximately 2-3 minutes walk from here. The journey from the city centre to here is about 10 minutes.

The stay at Derwent Lounge was very enjoyable. A beautiful house in a quiet area, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hostess was very nice and helpful. Easy access to Dublin city center and the cliffs of Howth. We recommend staying. We will remember it fondly and we would like to go back there.

Margaret and Eugene were fantastic! Their home is beautiful and very close to the DART making trips to Dublin very easy.

Outstanding stay. Margaret and Eugene were wonderful, friendly hosts and very fun to talk to. Great location - close to airport, city centre and more. Breakfast was wonderful both days and the sleeping accommodations were excellent. Highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Dublin.

Eugene et Margaret sont très sympathiques. Logement de grande qualité avec parking. Très bon petit déjeuner. Accès en bus pour le centre (même si nous avons mis une journée à comprendre car les arrêts ne portent pas toujours le même nom dans les deux sens). A recommander sans hésiter

Eugene and Margaret are great and this place is top notch for your visit to Dublin area. Easy travels to downtown and the region, great location. House is beautiful, inviting and their service is fantastic. Rooms are excellent, nice size and very modern design. Loved staying here!
