Seafield House

Sinead was very accommodating and was truly a delight, the home is warm, clean and very comfortable. The drive to the house (especially Lower Sky road) on a boreen is the true Irish experience. Great access to Clifden, what a fun town, great food and music in the pubs. I would highly recommend.

The Seafield House sat several kilometers down a single‑lane road (meant for two‑way traffic) overlooking the ocean at a short distance. There we met Sinéad, our host who was kind and helpful for our three-day stay. It isn't fair to compare one B&B to another, but this was our favorite of the four B&Bs we stayed at in different areas of western Ireland. Our room was on the second floor. It was beautiful, quiet, had a queen bed, a single bed, and sloped ceilings. A window in the ceiling tilted open so you could stick your head out and see the backyard stretching toward the ocean. The attached bathroom was bright and fully tiled and had another window with a view while standing over the most humble location. The perfectly green, neatly trimmed backyard had a path that led into the wild grasses towards the cliffs, where an occasional wild blackberry bush offered ripe fruit. The cliff was protected by a post‑and‑barbed‑wire fence. We explored the path before heading into town. (Perhaps a couple of Adirondack chairs might have kept us sitting there for hours looking at the view.) Breakfast started at a comfortable 8:30 and adjusting the menu to taste (two eggs on toast with bacon) was no trouble at all. We took the nearby Sky Road back to town for additional breathtaking views. We were sad to leave this place!

We spent two nights at Seafield House. We very much appreciated this B&B because of the quality of location, views on the ocean and landscape, and a lovely room. Sinead is a very pleasant host, she took time for giving advice in order to organize our stay. She prepares excellent breakfasts. Seafield House was probabaly our best B&B during our trip in Ireland

Sinéad is a lovely person and welcoming host. The B & B is set in a truly beautiful landscape. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything was perfect😃. We can highly recommend it!

Actually, it was rather an accident that we booked the accommodation — but it turned out to be the best accident that ever happened to us. Located in one of the most beautiful landscapes and hosted by a wonderful host, Seaview House is a marvelous destination for all that love nature and a restful timeout. Very recommendable.
