A Taste of Ireland This St Patrick’s Festival
No St Patrick’s celebration is complete without a slice of freshly baked Irish soda bread, served warm with real Irish butter. Simple, wholesome and steeped in tradition, this classic recipe has been passed down through generations in homes across Ireland. I can personally vouch for this as it was in my Inter Cert Home Economics Text book - I made it many time.

As winter fades and Ireland begins to bloom, spring is one of the most magical times to experience the country. Longer days, softer light, newborn lambs in the fields and bursts of colour in gardens and hedgerows make it an ideal season for a relaxing escape. With fewer crowds and great value, spring is perfect for a stay in a warm, welcoming B&B.
From coastal counties to rolling green heartlands, here’s a springtime journey through some of Ireland’s most beautiful regions – and why a B&B stay makes it even more special.
