Antrim Coast Road

The Antrim Coast Road stretches between Belfast and Derry-Londonderry. It's approximately 80 miles of the most spectacular coastal scenery you will find anywhere in the world. You will pass some beautiful sights such as The Giant’s Causeway, The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, Glenariff Forest Park and the award winning Portrush Whiterocks Beach.

Giant's Causeway

The Giant's Causeway is one of nature's true wonders. From a distance it looks like a carpet of enormous steppingstones extending out into the Irish Sea leading across to Scotland. Legend has it that it was built by Ulster warrior Giant Finn McCool so he could walk to Scotland to fight a Scottish Giant. The Giant's Causeway is owned and managed by the National Trust and it is the most popular tourist attraction in Northern Ireland.

Old Bushmills Distillery

After appreciating the natural beauty of the Giant's Causeway you might want to pop into the Old Bushmills Distillery. It’s one of the rare opportunities to visit a distillery in Ireland actually producing whiskey. Other distilleries are visitor centres with no real production going on. But be careful you don’t overdo it with a snifter or three!

Glens of Antrim

Famed in poetry, song, myth and magic there are nine Glens of Antrim. They stretch down to the sea along the Antrim Coast Road. All the glens have their own unique charm and characteristics and no two are the same. The Glens are in an area designated as an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' with several 'Areas of Special Scientific Interest' throughout them. They are definitely worth a visit for any walker whatever your level.

Rathlin Island

Rathlin Island is an island off the coast of Antrim; it is home to some beautiful wildlife; hundreds of seals and thousands of nesting seabirds. It’s an amazing sight to see the puffins nesting on its impressive cliffs. The Island also has a bird sanctuary and an interpretive centre which talks about the history of the island. It’s also popular with scuba divers, who can explore the many ship wrecks in the surrounding waters.

Belfast’s Titanic Quarter

This state-of-the-art visitor experience tells the story of the Titanic. From conception, to its early construction, launch, fit out and it’s tragic maiden voyage.  It is also brought up to the present day with the discovery of the wreck and into the future with links to undersea exploration. With its galleries and interactive exhibits the Titanic Belfast conveys the sights, sounds, smells and stories of the shipyard and its most famous creation.

Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a world famous rope bridgein County Antrim. The bridge links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede. It is 20 meters long and is 30 meters above the rocks below. The bridge is open all year round (subject to weather).

Dunluce castle

Dunluce Castle is a medieval castle located dramatically close to a headland that plunges straight into the sea in Country Antrim between Portballintrae and Portrush. It’s a breathtaking sight as it is 100 feet above the ocean. Under the castle is a sea cave that is accessible from both land and water, and the main way to access the castle is by crossing a bridge that has replaced the castles original rock made connection over the years.
