Glorious Beach – Co Sligo
Mullaghmore is a small fishing village on the west coast of Ireland and is a popular holiday destination. Its sandy beach is ideal for all the family and is guarded on a daily basis by life guards from June to September. The village of Mullaghmore comprises of beautiful seaside bars and cafés, a sure place to spend an afternoon enjoying lunch or dinner in the sunshine. In 2013, the Lonely Travel Guide recognised the waves of Mullaghmore as one of the best surfing spots in the world for big waves. Now that’s worth seeing!
National Park – Co Roscommon
Lough Key Forest Park offers fun for all the family including outdoor play area, great puzzle rooms and tours of the tunnels to a top viewing tower. You can’t miss Boda Borg, a Swedish concept of puzzle rooms, through which you can progress using your skills, teamwork and trial and error. The Boda Borg is suitable for children over 7 years and adults. Don’t forget your camera!
Family Activity – Co Mayo
Great Western Greenway is a fantastic traffic-free cycling and walking route that spans over 42km, with lots of wonderful scenery and visitor attractions along the way. It’s a great day out for all the family, running from Achill to Westport, Co Mayo.
