Catching the outdoor adventure bug is like nothing else. Sure you may love to cook or have a passion for golf, but once you've abseiled down the face of a mountain, or caught your very first wave, you’re ultimately hooked. Biking, Hiking and Climbing
Cycling and mountain biking is huge in Ireland and for good reason. The facilities and scenery are phenomenal so you’re guaranteed breathtaking views while you push to the finishing line. I quickly found some top notch mountain and road trails dotted along the county. If you fancy an off road mountain trail, Slieve Gallion is your best bet. This trail has mud, water, jumps and forest all to yourself. If you’re like me and see yourself challenging Bradley Wiggins in the next Tour de France, take on the Foyle Valley Cycle Route, a challenging 21 mile cycle that takes in Derry-Londonderry City.

Given its location, Derry-Londonderry see’s some fantastic swell all year round so make sure to mount your board to your car rack and experience the North Atlantic swell.
