Memories are made on a Farmstay holiday in Ireland
A farmstay holiday in Ireland is a truly unique experience where memories can be made to last you a lifetime. A farmstay B&B is often situated on a working farm where guests can see Irish heritage, culture and traditions in their purest form. In Ireland, farms are located in the idyllic, peaceful countryside where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and get back to nature.
Farm to Fork
Farms are often passed down from generation to generation which keeps traditions alive and thriving, including delicious age-old recipes and a “farm to fork” lifestyle. Many farmstay B&B hosts cook and bake for their guests with fresh produce grown right there on their farm! Knowing that the scones that have just come out of the oven have been made with the farm’s own milk and eggs, makes them all the more special!

B&B Hosts
Your farmstay B&B hosts will be delighted to give you a tour of their farm, welcoming you into their traditional way of life. Farm owners are so proud of the hard work that they do and will be more than happy to showcase all of its elements. The farmstay experience is an amazing opportunity to get to know the authentic side of rural Ireland. Guests cannot help but relax in this peaceful environment!

Things to do
What’s more, farmstay B&B hosts are immersed in their community and are so knowledgeable about their locality. This is ideal for guests coming to stay because their hosts will be able to point them in the direction of the best local activities and amenities that aren’t to be missed! From the best restaurants and cafes for a delicious meal, to the best local pub for a traditional Irish music session, guests can’t go wrong when listening to B&B hosts’ recommendations!

I’m in Rossroe Lodge in Cashel, a tiny hamlet located in the vast expanse of Connemara. I arrived yesterday and was greeted warmly by my hosts, who showed me to a beautiful room at the front of the house, facing the sea.
