March B&B Guest Reviews

It is so important to read guest reviews to get a good benchmark of what you can expect from a stay in an Irish Bed and Breakfast. Below are recent reviews from guests who have enjoyed their B&B experience…

Kilbawn Country House, Kilkenny

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Elizabeth and Jim at Kilbawn. They helped us with our planning for touring Wexford. Their home is pristine and the food was great! The breakfast and afternoon tea (with goodies) made our stay exceptional. Thanks again E&J for your hospitality.

Hillview House, Dublin

Clean, comfortable, modern, and spacious. Host was very friendly and accommodating, she even upgraded us to a family suite for no additional cost. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms had nice "extras" like a heated towel rack. Very conveniently located near Dublin Airport. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to visit again. We found it to be an exceptional value.

Cillcearn House, Kerry

Lovely place. The hosts were fantastic. Super friendly and gave wonderful suggestions on places to see. Also, I have a gluten allergy. They were incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure my safety, including making my toast in a separate pan. Would absolutely stay here again if I came back to town.

What a wonderful host and hostess Bernie and Robert were! We were greeted at the door and offered coffee and tea while we chatted. Bernie was extremely helpful in navigating Galway and where to find spots of interest and parking recommendations. Even offering a ride into town if needed! Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. I especially liked the porridge! Fantastic! Every evening we enjoyed the living room, with a nice warm fire and even set up a table for playing cards and plenty of glassware for whiskey and other spirits! Rooms were comfortable, bathrooms spacious, and everything clean and neat! Thanks so much for putting up with our shenanigans!! Highly recommend!!

Summerfield Lodge B&B, Cork

Our room was clean. The hosts were fantastic. They allowed us to use the kitchen as we had a very early departure time the next morning to continue onto our adventure. They gave us some great tips of where to eat dinner in town and great suggestions of things to do at our next stop in Ireland. Lovely home, lovely people. If we are ever back in Ireland and that area we would definitely stay again.

The Arches, Cavan

Absolutely superb, every detail, as advertised. Pearl had spot-on advice about local dining and sights, directions, and genealogical information that proved very helpful to that aspect of our visit to this "Lake District," off-the-beaten path, just gorgeous part of Ireland. And as the local fishing is mentioned in their advertising, I am interested next trip: Pearl showed us a photograph of a guest just two weeks before hoisting a monster pike in his arms that scaled nearly 30 lbs. Pike aficionados from Canada and the U.S. take notice---you would love fishing here with several lakes to choose from amid rolling emerald-green pastures dotted with sheep.

Fortfield Farm, Clare

What a wonderful visit we had with Brid, Sean and Brid's visiting sister, Mary. The B&B is immaculate and the dairy farm is very interesting. Brid's breakfasts were superb and she served tea and snacks each evening on the glassed-in front porch. We enjoyed our conversations and felt like we were part of the family. VERY warm and inviting atmosphere. We will stay again the next visit to the Shannon area.
