Review Your B&B - Cherrybrook Country Home - A True Treasure in Avoca

Here at B&B Ireland we encourage our hosts to share some of the great reviews they receive from happy customers and in most cases, these customers turn into lifelong friends. Bernie Ivers of Cherrybrook Country Home has shared a fantastic review of her home in Avoca, County Wicklow.

"We stayed two nights at the Cherrybrook Country Home B & B in June and it was such a pleasure! Our hosts were so kind and helpful in every way. Of course, food is of major importance to us and our breakfasts each morning were nothing short of divine. The first thing you notice as you drive up to the B & B, is what a beautifully landscaped lawn it has all around the home. We enjoyed it as we ate in the large breakfast room with all the windows. We also loved our large window in our room where we could just sit and enjoy looking at the birds in the trees. One extra for us was the location for it was convenient to so many of the sites and landmarks we chose to visit. We would love to visit Ireland again and would highly recommend the Cherrybrook Country Home B & B. Thanks for a wonderful Irish Holiday!"

This is just a snippet of what can be experienced when staying at Cherrybrook Country Home. Bernie's home is a four star Bed and Breakfast like no other in the heart of  Avoca, County Wicklow. The award winning B&B boasts accomodation with a fusion of country style and comfort surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens. The Garden of Ireland as it's also known is famous for its lush landscape of rolling hills and valleys and its superb coastline. At West Coast House B&B you can taste Achill Island Smoked Salmon

When you stay at West Coast House on Achill Island in County Mayo, you will have the opportunity to taste the island’s delicacy of smoked salmon.  The salmon is reared in pristine waters off Clare Island/Achill and is prepared and oak smoked at Keem Bay Fish Products, which is just 0.4km from our bed and breakfast.

Danabel Porridge Bread Recipe

I started making my Porridge Bread about a year ago. It was so popular with guests that I carried on making it. Now, I make it everyday and leave it on the breakfast table for my guests to help themselves. I am always complimented on how tasty it is. The wonderful thing about this recipe is that it is so easy to prepare, yet so delicious!
