Bundoran, Co Donegal
Bundoran is one of Ireland’s most well-known seaside locations, due to its world-class surfing reputation. Having hosted the European Surfing Championships several times, surfers from all across the globe flock here to experience the exhilarating waves. Angling is also popular in the locality, including sea, game and coarse fishing and on top of all this, Bundoran’s sandy beaches also give rise to stunning coastal walks.

Portrush, Co Antrim
Portrush is a small, popular seaside resort town in Co Antrim. The main part of this picturesque town is built on a mile-long peninsula, Ramore Head, which gives rise to beautiful views. Portrush boasts three fantastic sandy beaches, the West Strand, the East Strand and the White Rocks that are ideal for a scenic stroll with all the family. The town is also home to the well-known Royal Portrush Golf Club, which has hosted the Open Championship in the past!

Tramore, Co Waterford
Tramore is often referred to as ‘Ireland’s premier beach resort’ and is undoubtedly the South-East’s most popular seaside tourist location. The beautiful town is a haven for water activities and Tramore Beach is ideal for learning how to surf with its gentle waves. Fishing is also well catered for with the beach, and several rivers, lakes and reservoir. Tramore Bay is the perfect place for a peaceful stroll and the nearby Comeragh Mountains are great for hiking and horse-riding, with stunning coastal views.

Clifden, Co Galway
Located in the heart of Connemara, Clifden is an idyllic, picturesque seaside town which is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its stunning landscapes, peaceful atmosphere and friendly locals, it is very popular with visitors. Clifden is part of the Wild Atlantic Way and is home to some unbeatable coastal walks that allow you to soak in the beauty of the area. Kinsale, Co Cork
Located along the Wild Atlantic Way, it’s hard to imagine a more charming seaside location than Kinsale. There is something for all the family to enjoy on a holiday to Kinsale, with its gorgeous harbour, lively town and abundance of attractions. Sailing is very popular in Kinsale, with boat hire available and a cruise on the harbour is not to be missed. As well as this, the Old Head Golf Links is one of Ireland’s most well-known golf courses, with amazing views around each of the holes.
