Meet your host | Rosemary Armstrong

Rosemary ARmstrong, Arch House

Rosemary Armstrong – Arch House B&B, Enniskillen, Fermanagh

Rosemary has been running her Farmhouse B&B for 26 years, Arch House is located amongst beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Enniskillen in the heart of County Fermanagh.  Rosemary gives us a little insight into her world.

What are the hidden gems close to your home?

Marble Arch Caves
The Cladagh Glen
Florencecourt Castle

What is your favourite guest story?

Two Scottish guests got locked out one night, they rang the doorbell but we didn’t hear it, it was almost 2am. In an effort to get our attention we awoke to the Scottish guests playing their bagpipes outside our bedroom window!

What is your signature dish?

Irish stew – One of my guests even asked if they could have it for breakfast on toast!

Is there anything about your home that is quirky?

The original home was built in the 1880’s here is an old image of the house before it was developed into a B&B

Have you ever had any famous guests?

I want to say Obama when he came to Fermanagh for the G8 summit 2013 but no, just some local TV presenters.

What is your favourite thing about the area you live in?

The walks, there are numerous beautiful scenic walks, I particularly like the walks at Claddagh Glen.

When you are not looking after your guests what is your favourite thing to do?

Walking – I love going for long walks in the area.

What are your top 3 attractions in this county?

The beautiful lakelands scattered around the county
Marble Arch Caves
Belleek Pottery

Thank you Rosemary for taking part in our interviw today.  For more information on her home check out Arch House.

Please reply. I'm looking for information on a b&b owned by an armstrong family I visited in the early 90s. Thank you.
