Honey Glazed Ham | 12 Days of Christmas Recipes

It's our final day of our 12 Days of Christmas Recipes and we have had a ball! from Trifles to Puddings and Crab Starters to Christmas Potato Cakes, we're pretty stuffed! But there's always room for one more! To top off the last day we've decided to share a delicious Honey Glazed Ham recipe to compliment the Christmas turkey.


  • 2 - 2¼ kg, piece of ham
  • Whole Cloves
  • 4-5 tablespoons "Irish Mist Liqueur" or Irish Whiskey
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • Oven temperature: Pre-heat to Gas Mark 6 - 400°F - 200°C


  1. Cook ham as for boiled ham.

  2. Approximately ½ hour before the cooking time is completed, remove the ham from the water and cool a little.

  3. Strip the rind and score the fat in diamonds. Place a clove in each diamond and place the ham on a rack in a roasting tin.

  4. Whisk the Irish Mist or Whiskey with the brown sugar and dry mustard and brush over the whole of the ham.

  5. Cook in the pre-heated oven for approximately 30 minutes until the glaze is golden brown. Relax before carving.

  6. ENJOY!

Danabel Porridge Bread Recipe

I started making my Porridge Bread about a year ago. It was so popular with guests that I carried on making it. Now, I make it everyday and leave it on the breakfast table for my guests to help themselves. I am always complimented on how tasty it is. The wonderful thing about this recipe is that it is so easy to prepare, yet so delicious!
