Muckanaght, Benfree and Benbaun Mountain Loop Walk, Galway

The Muckanaght, Benfree and Benbaun Loop Walk, Co. Galway  is the perfect route for walking enthusiasts. The 11km trail, near the beautiful town of Clifden, takes approximately 5.5 hours to complete and is considered to be of moderate to strenuous difficulty. This mountainous route leads you to the heart of the breath-taking Twelve Bens Mountains, Connemara. If walking is a serious hobby of yours, this loop walk is a challenging and wonderful day out.

The Magic of Connemara

The route leads you to the peaks of the three mountains, Mukanaught at 654m, Benfree at 638m and the highest of Benbaun at 729m. The views from these heights are truly stunning and will take your breath away. The magic of Connemara is undeniable once you experience this route as there is so much natural beauty along the trail, including the various flora and fauna.
