Ireland One of Lonely Planet’s Top 5 Countries to Visit in 2015
Ireland is making waves once again! The influential travel site ‘Lonely Planet’ has ranked Ireland ahead of places like The Philippines, St. Lucia and Morocco to achieve 5th spot in the ‘Best Countries to Travel in 2015’.
The recently published guide spoke very highly about Ireland and its people - “Ireland is stunningly scenic, its traditions – music, dance, whiskey and beer – firmly intact and the cosmopolitan, contemporary Irish are just as friendly and welcoming as their forebears were known to be.”
Hospitality - One of Ireland's True Qualities
Ireland has a combination of attributes that make it the perfect country to explore and Lonely Planet have certainly picked up on it – “The Irish themselves are inevitably at the heart of the best the country has to offer. Attend a traditional music session in a small pub in County Clare. Or just strike up a conversation over a pint with the gang sitting next to you in the pub. It’s these connections that will make you want to come back.”
Not only is Ireland bursting with stunning scenery and hidden gems dotted throughout, but the Irish hospitality is one of Ireland's "true" qualities.
With the success of The Gathering in 2013, Ireland has turned its attention to a new project to rival California’s Pacific Coast Highway and Australia’s Great Ocean Road. The Wild Atlantic Way is showcasing the West of Ireland and all its hidden gems and no doubt this is a huge factor that claimed 5th spot in The Lonely Planet’s 2015 guide.
It seems 2015 is the year to travel to Ireland, be it a city break, a countryside escape or journey along the World’s longest Coastal route!
