Bed and Breakfast Connemara, Co Galway

Welcome to Connemara, a majestic wilderness on the West Coast of Ireland. For the last two centuries, visitors have been drawn to this Gaeltacht region for its spectacular scenery, warm welcomes and abundant wildlife. It serves as the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Unspoilt Scenery

The main attraction that draws many visitors to Connemara is its unique landscape. Although the region has seen a rise in visitors, the scenery has remained untouched. You can take a scenic drive along the coast and watch the waves crash against the sandy beaches and rugged coastline.  Or, why not trek the rugged Twelve Bens Mountains or through the rich Roundstone Bogland and discover the flora and fauna.

Kylemore Abbey

Kylemore Abbey is a magnificent Benedictine monastery located in the Kylemore Pass, Connemara. The impressive abbey has a fascinating story dating back to 1870. The grounds are still run by nuns who bought the castle after fleeing war-torn Belgium. The abbey also consists of an impressive Gothic Church and walled Victorian gardens. Kylemore Abbey is a must when touring the West coast of Galway.

Welcoming Villages

Travelling west from Galway City you see the landscape change dramatically before your eyes. Along the way, you pass through colourful towns and villages such as Clifden, Oughterard, Roundstone, Cashel and Carna and you can expect a friendly welcome in each.

The Connemara region is the perfect location to discover the real beauty of Ireland and caters for everyone with great outdoor amenities, historical sites and excellent bed and breakfast accommodation. Connemara B&Bs are the perfect touring base. Stay in a farm B&B, town B&B or Country B&B.
