Avondale House

This is a really beautiful B&B. The rooms were very beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The food was very good and they offer vegan and gluten-free options. There is not a lot of room for parking, however, and I don't recommend you take larger vans there. We were a party of 6 people and we had a great stay there. Carmel, was very knowledgeable about the area. It's very close to town - close enough to walk to a couple of local pubs. I highly recommend this place to stay.

This is an excellent B&B, a warm welcome from our host Carmel, very helpful, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was first class. Avondale House is set in a lovely part of Ireland with lakes and scenery, I highly recommend, you will be in good hands at Avondale House. We will be back PG.

Ps. I was able to charge my car 🚙 at this B&B, that's was a big plus for me.

Carmel is one of the most friendliest hosts I have ever met , are stay there was brilliant, I wished I’d stayed longer . The breakfast was a proper Irish breakfast and I couldn’t move after it , brilliant.

Traveling with my hubby and sister in law throughout Ireland, and Avondale House was our favorite place! Carmel was so kind, and her home was immaculate and lovingly furnished. She was very helpful with directions and recommendations for both dinner options and places to take some lovely walks. It was so nice to have the personal interaction of this sweet and funny woman. Note: I had been worried about being cramped in a triple room with 3 adults, but there was plenty of space and cabinets for clothes, tea/coffee in the room and all of us; even a privacy curtain between the third bed and our two; very helpful! Rooskey is a very quiet town and we slept so soundly it was a nice treat. Definitely give Carmel a visit: you won't be disappointed!

Excellent stay! Generously sized room, bathroom was immaculate. Our hostess was extremely kind and attentive to our needs.
