The drive into the B&B is spectacular - so much so that we turned around, got our bearings and called to make sure that we were on the correct road. These were the narrowest and most breathtaking kilometers that we found in Ireland. The home is wonderful and the scenery is breathtaking. Might sound strange, but you should pray for a great rain storm while you are there! We didn't find the proprietors to be as friendly and inviting as others we encountered. Others sat with us, or dined with us, and we established bonds quickly. That really didn't happen here. But the drive and the scenery and the experience with sheep on the roadway was incredible.

Great location, One of the nicest area`s and B&B`s I have stayed in Ireland.. Would recommend this B&B. It is off the main roads and is ideal location for a peaceful break away but is still near enough to drive to all the places you would need to get to. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

The House was certainly tucked away! Quiet and comfortable, just too far from town for our plans. We had two nights booked, and left town early to make sure we could navigate the winding roads back down to the house before dark. If you're a hiker, this is an absolutely PERFECT place to stay as it's right down in the Gap. If you want to spend more time up in Killarney town, maybe not so much. Great hosts, great breakfasts!

Hillcrest Farmhouse is not easy to get to. When we book it we did not realize where it was. Well, it is about 200 meters outside of western side of Killarney National Park. It is in the midst of the beautiful mountains, lakes and sheep, lots of sheep. If you plan national park activities, this is an excellent place to stay, away from it all. It is a 45 min ride from Killarney. Mary, the proprietor, was very helpful in arranging tours and giving us other area information. The farmhouse is very cozy and comfortable and has the necessary supplies. Breakfast was excellent with an Irish breakfast, cereal and delicious brown bread. Daisy & Rosie, puppies, were delightful. We did not eat dinner here although it was offered.
