Upon arriving (within designated arrival timeframe), we were unable to find anyone in the building, although there were several cars in the lot). The reception area was dark with an unattended candle burning in a pumpkin. The reception counter on the far right side of the room had a guest book on it, however when we looked behind the counter we saw piles of trash/papers etc which had obviously been there for quite a while. We called out down the hallway with no response. We placed 2 phone calls- again with no response. At the end of the hall, we saw an untidy kitchen with clutter on the counters( and blue stove) and open food on the counters. We continued to call out with no response. We waited about 40 minutes and left. We were fortunate to find another place to spend the night (at our own additional expense) nearby. I hope that bandbireland rethinks their affiliation with this facility.

This is the best B&B to stay at in cork, Miss Peggy and her family are the nicest, most helpful people who take exceptional care of their guests. Great food, incredibly clean rooms, comfortable beds and located right next to a pub what's not to love? Thank you again Peggy and we hope to see you soon!

We loved staying here and getting to meet Miss Peggy. She is a wonderful host, great, spacious rooms and a fabulous breakfast the next morning. We got in a little later than we had hoped, but we did get to go to the Mills Inn Pub for dinner, which is right next door, and met some nice locals there!! Would definitely recommend staying here!!

We loved the house, the accommodations, and, especially, Miss Peggy. She treated us like royalty. We could not have asked for better.
