All nice and clean, and very good food. Carmel was very kind and welcoming and we enjoyed our chats with her. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Parking was great. We like the walk around the canal loop and saw bullfinches nearby. Strokestown was a fantastic visit and we loved the droll humour of the guide in the house. Strokestown garden was gorgeous. Carrick on Shannon - saw the tiny chapel there!

Carmen is a great host, very warm and welcoming as well as knowledgeable and helpful. Food was delicious and plentiful. Location convenient to Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon, Strokestown,Rathcroghan (don't miss), and other attractions. Room was well appointed with a balcony.

This is a really beautiful B&B. The rooms were very beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The food was very good and they offer vegan and gluten-free options. There is not a lot of room for parking, however, and I don't recommend you take larger vans there. We were a party of 6 people and we had a great stay there. Carmel, was very knowledgeable about the area. It's very close to town - close enough to walk to a couple of local pubs. I highly recommend this place to stay.

This is an excellent B&B, a warm welcome from our host Carmel, very helpful, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was first class. Avondale House is set in a lovely part of Ireland with lakes and scenery, I highly recommend, you will be in good hands at Avondale House. We will be back PG.

Ps. I was able to charge my car 🚙 at this B&B, that's was a big plus for me.
