Take in stunning Atlantic vistas from Mount View, nestled in the pretty seaside town of Cobh, County Cork. A picturesque Victorian town with a rich heritage, it was the RMS Titanic’s last port of call before she set sail on her tragic maiden voyage and is also the burial place of those who lost their lives on the RMS Lusitania. Visitors can explore the Titanic Experience, make a splash in the Coral Leisure Centre and visit the Cobh Heritage Centre. The bed and breakfast is a beautiful townhouse that boasts wonderful views of St. Colman’s Cathedral and the idyllic harbour.

The room was a bit tight. Great location for what we wanted to explore. The food was good.

Excellent location and wonderful room with an outstanding breakfast. We felt welcomed from the start and were given many options as to what to do. We will definitely stay there again!

We stayed for one night. I had reserved two rooms (there were 4 of us). Ms. Noreen was very friendly. She greeted us warmly, discussed breakfast and showed us to our rooms. The rooms were pretty tight but we were not there to hang out in our rooms! The WIFI was good (and easy to log into), the house was spotless, there was parking onsite and breakfast was delicious. We didn't have any issues plugging in all our devices. With smart watches added to the mix we had four devices we had to charge up. We had the downstairs room and a room upstairs. I was in the room upstairs and I had a great view of the cathedral in town. We spent the first part of the day at Blarney Castle and headed to Cobh later in the day than initially planned. Ms. Noreen recommended a few places to eat. We walked down the hill and we ate at a nice restaurant at the Waters Edge Hotel right off the water. We walked past a park (right off the water) and stopped by a few shops. My son wanted to get a closer look at the huge Gothic cathedral in the town. We were warned about that walk back up the hill (there is a taxi stop at the bottom of the hill - we could have taken a taxi for 5 euros) but since the cathedral was half way up the hill we decided to walk back up. We did an OK job trekking up the hill but there was someone ahead of of carrying a guitar and a pack of beer...I think they were running up that hill!!!

We loved our short stay with Noreen. She greeted us with all of the information including where to have dinner. Our rooms were clean and she made us feel very welcomed. The breakfast was very good. It was a close walk to town and I would recommend Mount View. Cobh is a very picturesque town.
