Island View House located 4 km west of Cong Village 1 km from Clonbur at Dooroy viewing point overlooking Lough Corrib on R345 route to Connamara. Guests are provided  with a relaxing stay, all  bedrooms on ground floor and have lake views;  tastefully equipped with TV, Tea/Coffee making, seating area . Breakfast of choice served. Viewing Lounge for guests to unwind ,enjoy the splended scenery,  or as night falls watch the sunset over Lough Corrib. Ideal base for touring Connamara, Aran islands, west Mayo and Achill island. Close to Ashford Castle, Lisloughrey Lodge,  Quite Man scene in Cong.

;From Galway take N84 to Headford ;then take R334 to Cong; from Cong take R345 for approx 0.5km to y junction signposted to take left for approx 5km.

Our stay at the Island View House was warm, inviting, and comfortable. Mary and her husband are the perfect hosts. We woke to a beautiful view of the islands, and a delicious Irish breakfast. We were within an hour to Connemara which began our exploration of Ireland. Excellent trip.

We had such a lovely stay. Mary couldn’t have been kinder. The views were spectacular. There was a fire burning in the fireplace which was so cozy. The breakfasts was spot on.

Very Nice stay , quiet and a beautifull View. Clonbur is a perfect place for a beer after a long day of hiking in connemara. Our host was discreet et efficient.

A very lovely place to stay! Mary was charming and very helpful! The town of Cong was a great spot for dinner. We made it to a restaurant who was on the last night of their stunning chef…he was moving on so I won’t leave the places name! The views were amazing! A great stay!

This was our first BnB on our journey through Ireland and it was lovely. The view alone was a pleasant surprise when we pulled in. Our host was welcoming and very kind. Since it was our first stay, we didn't know what to expect, but we were very comfortable and satisfied with our stay. There was a friendly outdoor cat that snuck a few pets in from me. The pubs and restaurants nearby were fun and I had an amazing duck dinner at one of the local restaurants that I am still dreaming about.
