Island View House located 4 km west of Cong Village 1 km from Clonbur at Dooroy viewing point overlooking Lough Corrib on R345 route to Connamara. Guests are provided  with a relaxing stay, all  bedrooms on ground floor and have lake views;  tastefully equipped with TV, Tea/Coffee making, seating area . Breakfast of choice served. Viewing Lounge for guests to unwind ,enjoy the splended scenery,  or as night falls watch the sunset over Lough Corrib. Ideal base for touring Connamara, Aran islands, west Mayo and Achill island. Close to Ashford Castle, Lisloughrey Lodge,  Quite Man scene in Cong.

;From Galway take N84 to Headford ;then take R334 to Cong; from Cong take R345 for approx 0.5km to y junction signposted to take left for approx 5km.

Mary is a perfectly lovely host. Our room was immaculate, as was the whole house. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mary's suggestions for places to eat and things to do enhanced our stay greatly.

Our stay at the Island View House was very nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Mary was very kind and accommodating. The home had a gorgeous view and was only a short walk to a nearby village for food, we loved our time there!
