We arrived several hours earlier than expected and were welcomed and provided with a room immediately which was much appreciated! The breakfast was delicious and the hosts provided ideas and directions for Castlebar and the area.

We had a delightful stay at this B&B. We had a very quiet room on the first floor. This B&B is located just west of Castlebar, and just 8 km East of Westport. This makes it easy to enjoy Westport and all the shops and good restaurants in Westport.

Great B&B. We were greeted by and attended to by John. He was very kind, helpful and welcoming. John made an awesome "Bernie's Fry" for breakfast which should be renamed "Big John's Fry" :-) We would certainly recommend this B&B and would stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

Hi Susanne and Mike, Thank you for the excellent and kind review, Im so happy I trained John so well😁😁. I'm even happier that you enjoyed your stay here with us at Rocksberry B and B in Castlebar. Now that he did so well, maybe Il take a break more often, but I'd say he'd have something to say about that.. Thank you again, and hopefully you will get the chance to return in the future. Kind Regards Bernadette and John at Rocksberry B and B Castlebar.

The owner was not on site when we arrived. The person filling in was not very helpful. She made sure she let us know several times that she was not the owner. The owner was there when we came out for breakfast, but left before we finished and did not say anything. Facility was neat/tidy.

Hi Denise, Yes my mother in law would have let you in, I'm sure the reason she would have told you she was not the owner was that you were booked in for a double room and when you arrived you requested a twin. So she was unsure which other room she could give you. As you are aware you did get to stay in one of our family rooms, so I think you were looked after in that regard, at no extra cost. I did meet you both at breakfast time and chatted to you, but as you spent a lot of time on your mobile phone the main conversation took place with your friend. I had an early appointment in town and I then left you in the very capable hands of my daughter, who is very good with guests. I'm very disappointed that this effected your stay here with us as I always try to ensure that our guests enjoy their stay here. But unfortunately we don't get it right everytime.
