My wife and I came for our honeymoon and stayed a couple nights. It was close to the cliffs and restaurants which made it ideal. Mary was very helpful with our stay, keeping everything clean and home welcome. The breakfast was phenomenal, as was the atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Corofin house 1 night. Pretty close to the cliffs of moher. Mary was so nice and a delight to talk too. Our room was beautifully decorated and so was our friends. Very clean also. I just loved the way her house was decorated. Breakfast was also very good. There isn't much in the town of Corofin . We did eat at the only restaurant and pub in town and it was pretty good.

We loved our stay at Corofin Country House! Mary was so helpful and friendly as she showed us our lovely room and told us about the local area. What a perfect location for a peaceful stay and central to so many places we wanted to visit. An elegant home with a warm welcome and a delicious breakfast! Thank you, James and Mary, for making our visit so enjoyable!

We would highly recommend this B&B, particularly for folks exploring the nearby sights of Co Clare and the Burren. The house is also very close to pubs and other facilities in Corofin Town. We were greeted by Mary upon arrival and shown the details of our room and the house. It was obvious that the owners take pride in the house as it was exceptionally well appointed with high-end furnishings. Room was very large and bathroom and shower very modern. Outstanding breakfast. We hope to return on our next trip to Ireland.

This was the most disappointing B&B for me and my husband through our time in Ireland. We both felt negative vibes from the hostess upon arrival, as if she was inconvenienced that we were there. She stood against the doorframe of our room with her arms crossed after showing us in. The conversation didn’t flow like it did in other B&Bs. When asked what we wanted for breakfast, my husband asked for a full Irish since he hadn’t tried one. He was willing and wanting to try the black and white puddings and though she did offer it, she seemed a little put out because, according to her, people don’t like it. When asked about dinner, she basically scoffed at us saying “there’s only one place to eat here.” When we went back into town, there were several places that had food but were just closed for the day. The pub she recommended was very good. The room itself at first glance was nice. But then when you get a closer look, it was dirty. There were cobwebs and spiders in the corner of the bedroom, cobwebs in the bathroom and a thick layer of dust on the lampshade over the sink (the lamp didn’t even work). There was a piece of grass with a chunk of mud hanging on the wall in the small bathroom. The shower water box (that controls the water temperature) was dirty. Thinking maybe it was just discolored because of time, I decided to clean it myself. It wasn’t discolored. It need a good scrubbing because the grime had just accumulated over time. The shower didn’t drain well. Breakfast somewhat redeemed our experience. The hostess was pleasant and the food was good. Maybe she was just cranky or having a bad day the evening before, maybe she is a morning person vs an evening person. But as a business owner I know that you can be in whatever mood behind closed doors but in front of customers you need to have a smile on your face and not let anyone know you are not having a good day. Based on our first impression of the hostess and the uncleanliness of the room, we would not return nor recommend to anyone.
