The place was gorgeous, well kept, and Marguerite was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. We stayed only one night, in the future would spend more time there. It is a good home base for exploring the southwestern part of Ireland. Breakfast was amazing, so many options of what to eat. But once again Marguerite and her husband made us feel at home.

We feel so lucky to have found Marguerite and her B&B. As first time visitors to Ireland, we planned a full schedule, and needed a place in the Skibbereen area to stay, to locate Tom’s grandparents’ ancestral home in the nearby Union Hall area. I explained this to Marguerite in a phone call from NY to be sure we would be close to our destination, and she assured us we were coming to the right place! Since we were on a tight schedule, on day 3 of our trip we were circling the Ring of Kerry and stopped for lunch at the beautiful Butler Arms Hotel, where the desk receptionist helped connect me by phone to Marguerite. We told her we were coming in a few hours, and when I asked her where we could dine, she set us up w reservations at the best restaurant of our trip,The Church Restaurant in Skibbereen! Great people, great food, and a four star ambiance…great pick, Marguerite! In the morning we had a delicious Irish breakfast, chatted w Marguerite, and selected a crocheted shamrock ornament for our Christmas tree. Then we went on to the Heritage Center in Skibbereen, and to see if we could find the town Tom’s family came from ( we did!). This B&B is comfortable, very clean, cozy and is hosted by the lovely Marguerite. The grounds of the property are beautifully manicured. We hope to return someday…thank you, Marguerite!

My son's first trip to Ireland and visiting Skibbereen / West Cork area. We were so thankful we found marguerite's B&B! It was amazing! the beds were comfortable the breakfast was out of this world and on top of all of that Marguerite Is a sweetheart! And her authentic Irish crochet is lovely and makes wonderful gifts. I can't wait for my family to open their gifts at Christmas! Thank you for a wonderful 2 night stay!

Marquerite's was a very pleasant stay, starting with helping a couple of Americans to navigate through the early evening darkness. Her place was a very welcome respite, very comfortable and homey. Her recommendation for a restaurant was good, but we ended up at another place that was equally delicious. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful and hit the spot - almost got to see the great view of the meadows and pasturelands.

We just recently visited Ireland again this year. We stayed at Marguerites again. We just loved our visit this year. Our host was as always wonderful. She treated us to tea and snacks on our arrival and we talked about our travels and grand children. Her home was as wonderful as previous years we've visited. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was so exquisite with a good selection to choose from. We will choose Marguerites everytime. We just enjoy how welcome we feel and like family each time we visit. We'll keep in touch soon.
