An absolute hidden gem. The house is nestled in the heart of farm land surround by mountains. We couldn’t have got a warmer welcome than we got from Pearl. Nothing was a trouble. We required an very early start as some of the group were attending a rowing regatta when we got up we were treated to fresh scones and brown bread. Rooms were spotless. Great outside seating area which we bailed of and managed to get the perfect moon rise to top off the top accommodation

We stayed here one night of our trip...By far the most beautiful view of any of our stays...This is an actual operating beef ranch and Wilson was more than accommodating in answering our questions about Irish beef farming compared to US beef farming.
The rooms were super clean and very spacious and Pearls yard is something you have to see to believe!!! The homemade scones and jelly would be more than enough to make me come back and the breakfast was equally as good!!! My next trip to Ireland will definable include a stay at the Arches!!!!

We really enjoyed discussing life on an American farm compared to farming in Ireland,
There are quite a few differences. We look forward to welcoming you back to Ireland .

Pearl and Winston were very gracious hosts. They provide very clean and comfortable accomodations. The breakfasts were delicious and Pearl's homemade jams are wonderful. Pearl went above and beyond as she helped me locate and make contact with a cousin I had never met before and I was able to meet and visit with him during my trip.

Part of out trip was set aside to meet up with distant relatives in the towns where our grandparents came from. One side was from Drumshanbo and the other from Kingscourt. The Arches farm was not only ideally located for this, but on its own, an amazing place. It’s a working farm on a huge property run by our host Pearl and the scenery and landscaping are right out of a scene from a postcard. We had a wonderful experience during out one night stay there. We arrived late and were able to drop our belongings and get to town just in time to make a dinner reservation. Pearl recommended the Breffni Arms hotel, and the dinner and service were spot on. I would highly recommend staying there if you are up in this part of Ireland.
