Stayed for 5 days with friends. Absolutely loved everything about Coolakay House. The location is perfect. We were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country without being in the middle of nowhere. It is the perfect location and the perfect hostess! Will be back to Coolakay House.

This is a fabulous place to stay. The mountain views are terrific, and grounds are very pretty--especially if you like whimsical garden statuary and a space-age gazebo. Coolakay is perfectly located to take in the Powerscourt Garden (rated #3 in the world) and the Powerscourt Waterfall (highest in Ireland and a lovely streamside walk).

The house is lovely and the hosts were gracious but not intrusive. We needed a late arrival and they were kind enough to allow us to do so.

Coolakay House was our first stay on a 12-day trip. What a wonderful way to be introduced to Ireland! Yvonne was a welcoming, gracious hostess. I'm sure there are some people who have the gift of hospitality - and I'm sure that Yvonne is one of those people. On top of that, the beauty of her property and the surrounding area is difficult to describe - it's even more difficult to forget! Located close to Powerscourt estate & waterfall, Glendalough, and the wonderful town of Bray, I highly recommend this B&B - and I hope to have the opportunity to visit again in the future.
