Coolakay House is a 19th century farmhouse bed and breakfast with all the luxuries one would expect of a modern home. Its location in Enniskerry boasts breathtaking views overlooking the Wicklow hills and surrounding County Wicklow countryside. The house, which is located on a working cattle and sheep farm, offers bright and comfortable rooms with en-suite facilities and has an on site farm museum. The outdoor decking and beautiful garden takes in the wonderful views while the conservatory is a great place to relax and read a book or write postcards. The BEST stay in Ireland!!! Yvonne is such a lovely lady - we felt like we were visiting family! The room was nice and comfortable (bathroom a bit small, but served its purpose). Breakfast was delicious. Yvonne helped us plan are days in the area and even drove us to dinner and arranged a ride back. Sad we only had two nights here. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

We love Enniskerry so to find a nice B&B was a plus. The house was nice, clean and centrally located. The host was kind and the breakfast was great (had a full breakfast staff and was like a restaurant. The heater was a little tricky and it got very hot. We couldn't figure it out so we asked the host to come and take a look. She said that she fixed it but it only slightly cooled. We ended up sleeping with the window partly open so we could breathe. The only real downside for us was that when we arrived no one was home to check us in. We waited for about 30 minutes and then ended up leaving and going into town for a bit.

Coolakay house was situated in a lovely setting and Yvonne was a kind, considerate and informative host whose breakfasts were delicious and no request was too much trouble. Our room was quite small with nowhere to hang clothes which would be fine for one night, but over three nights was inconvenient, however our stay was enjoyable and we would recommend Coolakay to anyone wishing to enjoy beautiful Co. Wicklow.

Such a beautiful place. Grounds were impeccably kept. We were in awe of the sweeping countryside. Very comfotable accommodatiins, and Yvonne could not have been more helpful and available even though she was "under the weather". What an amazing host. We visited all her recommended sights and were not disappointed. We had a wonderful time and will be back.
