Jason Corcoran

Valerie and her husband Jason will be your welcoming hosts. We reside with our four children in our family home, which includes the B&B. Jason and Valerie have extensive experience organising fishing trips to Ireland for international clients.

Mature landscape surrounds this family-run property, which has a view of the well-known Munster Blackwater river. There is a 4-acre private island with our resident goats and a 1.5-km private river walk.
The B&B feels like you are on your own and has its own living quarters in two different wings of the house. There is a river on the property with garden views features and a communal lounge.

Fantastic property and friendly hosts. However, we were disappointed to discover that a full breakfast was not included with our stay. Upon checking out, we were surprised to learn we had only been entitled to a continental breakfast -- that anything more was subject to additional fees. That was not explained upon our arrival and this unexpected policy contrasted with our other B&B visits.

We cannot say enough positive things about our stay at Cable Island! We were lucky enough to stay for multiple days and Valerie was hands-down amazing! Everything, the views, the host, the food, the room, the hospitality, the small details, OVERALL, our entire stay was more than we could've imagined. Anything we needed, Valerie made it happen, with a smile! The recommendations that we were given, were awesome! We honestly would've stayed longer if we could have! We told Valerie that we would definitely be back! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
