Derry Halloween

Taking place over four spooktacular days, the Derry Halloween festival completely transforms the vibrant city from the 28th to  31st October. Every year, the festival is a huge success, drawing in thousands of visitors from all over the globe who want to experience the true magic and excitement of Halloween. Anything and everything you could possibly imagine for a Halloween carnival has been covered by festival organisers. From the daytime Haunted House in the Richmond Centre to a Twilight Haunting Tour of Derry, there is literally something for everyone to get stuck into. There is a big focus on family-friendly entertainment, with the Monster Mash Fun Days being a massive success, including magic shows, face-painting and story-telling. Other highlights of the carnival include the Monster Halloween Funfair, The Park after Dark and kids’ art workshops.

Spooktacula Carnival Parade

The real centrepiece of this entire festival is, of course, the Halloween Carnival Parade. With its amazing visual spectacles and outstanding musical entertainment, it truly is an experience to be remembered. The extravaganza is capped off with a breath-taking fireworks display over the River Foyle.
