Villa De Porres

A comfortable and spotless guesthouse entirely at my family's disposal, in a quiet location very close to the sea. A delicious breakfast with a view of the garden. Maura and David were incredibly helpful in recommending authentic pubs with live music in Galway and in organising our trip to the Aran Islands.

We really enjoyed our very comfortable stay at the Villa de Porres. Good location, comfy space and delicious breakfast choices. The bacon is the best we had during our 2 weeks in Ireland! Maura and David are fabulous hosts. Welcoming and attentive to all our needs! We highly recommend and will stay again!

Our stay in Barna at Maura and David's B&B was one of the highlights of our trip! In this peaceful village, just steps from Galway Bay, we found a wonderful restaurant (O'Grady's on the Pier), a beautiful evening and morning walk (the sea wall), and pristine accommodations. Our hosts, Maura and David, were among the most pleasant people we have met traveling. Their home is impeccably decorated and located mere minutes from both the Salthill area and Galway city. Absolutely a FOUR STAR (B&BIreland scale) experience, and we've promised to return there if we are ever nearby again.

We had a lovely stay; the room was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and Maura was a wonderful and attentive host.

A great place in a very strategic position (15-minute drive from Galway, right on the Wild Atlantic Way entering Connemara), with several commodities (pharmacy, bus stop, restaurants, pub) within walking distance. The hosts were really nice and helpful, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast does not have a huge hotel-like range of options, as expected for a small family-led B&B, but all of them are very good.
