Meet your host…

Eilis Dennehy

I have been operating my B@B for many years. I like meeting and chatting with people from all parts of the world. I love the outdoors and like to cycle or walk for an hour everyday. I am a good cook - plain food, nothing too fancy. I make all my own Jams, marmalade and soda bread. I get many compliments regarding my breakfast. I love flowers and pottering around the garden. I look forward to welcoming you to Sea Breeze B@B.

Beautiful home and host, booked 5 rooms with a large group of my family we had a Skellig trip planned but weather wasn’t cooperative and it was canceleddue to excessive wind, Eilis gave us some alternative recommendations of activities, bray head trail, Skellig chocolate shop, beach it made a disappointing day of not going to Skellig a fun day anyways, breakfast was excellent and her home is beautiful with a gorgeous view

Tom and Eilis made us feel very welcomed during our visit. They were friendly and provided us with whatever we needed. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable and the view is exceptional. As this was our first visit to Ireland, Eilis was prompt, helpful and polite in replying to e-mails as we planned our visit. Breakfast was outstanding and Eilis did all she could to accommodate our dietary needs. Location is exceptional if you are planning a visit to Skellig Michel as it is only 20 minutes to Portmagee to catch the boats.

Beautiful place in an absolutely beautiful place! We were on our honeymoon and had picked this place for it's proximity to Portmagee as we had a trip to Skellig booked since March. Ellis was great about a last minute reschedule which I felt bad about. Bad weather cancelled our trip Thursday July 25th but we were SO fortunate there was space on the boat Saturday the 27th . It's a beautiful home and we had the most stunning view from our bedroom. WE really wish we could've stayed longer but so fell in love with the area we are talking about when we get back we will spend most of our time in Kerry in general. Ellis helped us find a nice place to walk to dinner and we got to enjoy the scenery coming and going which was awesome. I also appreciated Ellis encouraging me about the trip up the Skellig steps and that she had done it a few times herself. I'd be having a lot of good Irish breakfasts along the way but I was grateful she offered French toast which was lovely and I felt a better thing for me that morning. As it turned out the boat ride was fine - just loved it and Skellig I cannot get out of my mind and heart. SO glad I didnt chicken out. It was a nice close drive to the town and docks of Portmagee which looks like a cute town I wish I had more time in. The B and B has that lovely sun room/conservatory and the bathroom we had was really really nice and spacious! Can't wait to come back!

We LOVED Tom and Ellis and only regret that we didn't have more time to spend with them! They were both so charming and interesting to talk to. In fact, I wanted to pack Tom in my suitcase to take him with us! The B&B was very nice and clean and had a beautiful conservatory with which to look out over the lake and mountains. I was interested in petting a sheep and watching some sheep herding and Tom drew me up two maps to get me exactly where I needed to be for both. This was a great stop during our travels through the Ring of Kerry. We hope to be back some day.

Eilis` house is very nice and modern. The small town center must be visited before 6 pm, otherwise only the pubs remain open. The cottage is close to the coast and offers beautiful walks. Unfortunately, I did not have a functioning TV. However, Eilis has upgraded my stay with a great breakfast. She is a loving host and very warm.

Thanks for staying in our bed and breakfast and leaving a review. I was disappointed that you did not bring your TV problem to my attention and I would have rectified the matter. I am always available. It was lovely chatting with you. Hope you are enjoying the beach back home. Best wishes.
