Castleview Farm

Kildare, Kildare, R51 N478

4km from Kildare

Meet your host…

Mrs Elizabeth Fitzpatrick

Ed and I have been welcoming guests to our family farmhouse B&B for over 20 years. We love meeting people from various parts of the world. We raised our 2 children here and they loved being involved with the animals. I enjoy baking in my traditional Aga range, using eggs from my own hens and herbs from my garden. My hobbies include oil painting and knowledge of local history. Ed runs the dairy farm, he enjoys chatting with the guests as they watch the milking in progress.

Been meaning to make this review since we got back to the states but work has been, well work. We stayed with Liz for three days, she was our headquarters for Dublin, Meath, all that fun stuff. Kildare itself was also a nice little town! The national stud farm was awesome! We got a discount for staying with her! she was so hospitable. Gave great recommendations for food, had answers to most and all my questions, and she was just great conversation! Even when we went to Dublin she pulled out a map and told us the best things to do and how to get about. Loved this place would definitely come again. Great food, great room. I’m just upset I never got my girlfriend to milk the cow. Liz was all for it but we never had time. Over all great experience with a host who went above and beyond.
