With panoramas of County Waterford’s beautiful landscape, Reades Farmhouse sits on a mixed farm in a scenic countryside location. With a warm welcome of tea/coffee and home baking on arrival, guests can enjoy genuine Irish hospitality. Guests can also indulge in a social evening of music and fun in the Reade family’s pub, next door to the bed and breakfast. Sitting just 1km from the picturesque village of Mullinavat, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views from the top of Tory Hill, admire the tranquil cascades of Poulanassy Waterfall and the ancient megalithic portal dolmen Leac an Scail.

Farmstay Experience

Guests can watch the cows being milked, collect the eggs from the chickens and go for a nice country walk.  There is lots of farm machinery to see and guests can hear all about the farm crops if they are interested.  And in the evening if guests want to enjoy a drink, song and craic they will find the "Reades" family pub next door!

We had a fantastic stay with the Reades. Such lovely people and our room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the farm and being able to enjoy the beautiful countryside. Breakfasts were great. We especially enjoyed joining them for traditional Irish Pub music by the locals -just having a great time singing and playing their instruments and a good old sing-a-long.

Comfortable rooms. Very clean. Great breakfast each morning. However, the facilities of internet access and Wifi connection which were meant to be available were below an acceptable standard. I chose this B+B as these were highlighted as being available and because a strong connection was required during my stay. No internet could be connected to in the rooms and so I had to move to a part of the house that was a common space which lacked privacy. Additionally, the milk with the tea facilities in the room definitely made tea undrinkable. These were not replenished either at all over the 3 night stay. This too was the case for towels.

Beautiful place, and lovely hosts. It was our first experience with a B&B so set the bar high for the rest of our trip.
