C'est avec beaucoup de plaisir et d'émotions que nous avons retrouvé Ethel lors de notre séjour dans cette magnifique région du Connemara. Nous y avions séjourné en 2006 lors de notre premier voyage en Irlande. Chaque année nous changeons de destination de vacances mais nous nous étions promis de revenir à Oughterard. Vingt années plus tard nous y voilà. Nous n'avons pas été décus ! L'endroit et l'accueil sont toujours aussi fabuleux. Ethel nous a fait très plaisir en nous proposant d'occuper la même chambre qu'autrefois. Quels souvenirs !!! Encore merci Ethel ... et peut-être à dans vingt ans ... ?

This is a really special place to stay. The scenery is even more spectacular than it looks in the pictures and Ethel is the perfect host. We loved it!

Ethel was a gracious host & great cook! (we loved our breakfasts!). The bnb was in excellent condition equipped for all our needs & had an impressive garden. The views onto Lough Corrib were exceptional, and the town of Oughterard easily in reach by car. We could not have asked for a warmer welcome to the Connemara region. We look forward to coming back another time - Thank you Ethel for the wonderful stay!

Ethel was a wonderful host and made our stay very memorable - as was the B&B itself. With a long history but kept in very good condition, the rooms were spacious and spotless. The lake (and the view of it) was beautiful even in the rain, and Ethel's donkeys were so calm and friendly. Her lovely breakfast made sure we had the best possible start each day to explore the local Pub, Connemara, and Galway.
