We really liked the stay there from the beginning! We were warmly welcomed and had a clean and friendly room. We have received many tips for the evening and our onward journey.

We stayed with Helen and Frank from 7/10-7/12, and had a wonderful time! Helen was so helpful, giving us a map and showing my husband the best route to take, suggesting a wonderful pub in town for dinner and live music, and the breakfasts she served were amazing! My husband enjoyed talking to Frank in the back yard while I took a nap, trying to help him with some project! We highly recommend Oldchurch house, and hope to go back some day!

LOVED this B&B and wish we'd spent more time here. If we return to Ireland (hoping!) we will spend at least 3-4 nights here and make day trips from Old Church House as a home base. Highly recommend doing this! The town of Kenmare is lovely -- many great restaurants, pubs, live music nightly and shopping. Best of all, this lovely home is an easy/safe walk with a sidewalk ... we were able to go out at night, have a few drinks and not worry about driving or walking on narrow roads. We recommend spending time in a few of the local establishments - although we recall Coachmen's offered a memorably good meal and nice music that started earlier than some others, which we appreciated. Helen is wonderful. Warm, welcoming and helpful - she met us with a bright smile, offered tea on arrival, shared great tips for places to visit. She also provided the best breakfast we had on our entire trip ... the options for eggs with salmon instead of heavier bacon was appreciated, and the dining area, garden and setting are beautiful. Our room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. We hope very much to return -- and for friends who travel to this beautiful part of Ireland we'd highly recommend this charming B&B.

Lovely setting, so peaceful. Our favourite B&B on our whole trip! Nice to be able to walk into the town. Wish we had stayed longer! Breakfast was good. Hostess, Helen was very nice.
