Arrived a bit late for our check in but hostess was very nice to us about this. The main town was walking distance from B&B but since we had already hiked Torc Mountain in Killarney before arriving we opted to drive. Nice little town. We did the Bunratty Castle tour the next day. Definitely worth doing and bought some Bunratty Mead for gifts to take home.

Mel,s B & B was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was jolly good and her local Knowledge was comprehensive, The shower in our room was scalding hot and could not be adjusted. Mel was grateful that we told her about it, saying it was better that we'd mentioned it to her, rather than bad mouthing about it to others. she would deal with the fault immediately. A lovely lady.

Nice place to stay during a visit to Ireland. A little over 1 KM from this Bed & Breakfast to the Bunratty Castle and Durty Nelly's Pub. Spending a week driving all over Ireland and hitting all of the sites our stay in Bunratty was one of the highlights of our entire trip. If you want to have a great time spend the afternoon at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Bunratty Castle is a large 15th-century tower house in County Clare, Ireland. It is located in the centre of Bunratty village and has some great tourist attractions. In the evening go to Durty Nelly's for a Pint of Guiness and listen to some good local traditional Irish music into the night. The locals are great! Super friendly! After a couple of pints you can make the 2 minute drive to Innisfree to crash on one of their comfy beds. Be careful of Pixie their 3 legged little blind dog. Stay on the lookout for her when you are driving up to park. She can't see too well. But is a really cute small 14 year old dog. Traditional Irish Breakfast in the morning was one of the best I had when in Ireland.
