Very clean, close to Bunratty Castle. Central location. Mr. McCarthy welcomed us but no sign of the Mrs.

The Host and Hostess were very pleasant. We did have an issue with the bathroom smelling at night. We realized the trap had dried out in the shower and were able to stop the odour. The bed was uncomfortable and the linen outdated. This four star B&B did not compare to the other four star B&B's we stayed at during our trip to Ireland.

This is our fourth stay at Mel's. We have always experienced wonderful service, clean facilities and a very personable Mel. The breakfasts are wonderful and get us off to a good start for the day.

Mel was a great hostess and has a nice house close to Bunratty castle. She was very accomdating at breakfast, offering my husband a full Irish breakfast and a vegetarian option for me.
