An honest 10 minutes walk from the town center, room ok but a bit small. the owner was a bit ''cold'' on our arrival, maybe at the end of season it takes it's toll. Otherwise good breakfast.

Ashgrove was the closest B & B to town thus why we chose it. We stayed at 4/ea B & Bs during our awesome stay in Ireland. Of the 4, Ashgrove unfortunately came in last as for accommodations and personal touch lets call it. The shower had almost zero pressure and hot water lasted roughly 1 - 2 minutes. Not the end of the world however compared to others that worked marvelously this was the worst. I believe it was the son who greeted us. Nice young man but recited the rules for breakfast etc....then went back to his computer. At other stays we got to shake the hands and meet the proprietors, from which we gleamed alot of local tribal knowledge. On the plus side the room was clean. The full irish breakfast was probably one of the best. I think the lady who served us was the owner but we do not know. In not so short I think if they tidy up a few things we mentioned they can receive a much higher rating.

Great location in walking distance to town. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. I see that other reviewers are saying the host is not very friendly and I think that's rather mean. Margaret is quieter than some other hosts but she provides a nice home and a good meal.

Clean, short walk to Kinsale, breakfast was average, Margaret seemed rushed the morning we were there. The hot water pot in the room seemed like it was an electrical hazard. The location is the highlight here!
